About Air Cushion Vehicle (ACV)
Air cushion vehicles are designed for transporting heavy, unbalanced, or oversized loads. They are ideal for carrying challenging and heavy components such as large tanks, wind turbines, transformers , and heavy motors. Compared to cranes, conveyors, wheeled, or tracked vehicles, air cushion vehicles are an extremely cost-effective and safe alternative. Equipped with air caster technology and specialized driving systems, ACVs ensure the precise and safe transportation of tons of cargo under safe and precise operator control.
The activation process for these vehicles are straightforward. They operate on standard floors (machine-leveled, coated concrete), maximizing minimal operating space and simplifying production processes. Moreover, they don’t require permanent installation within a facility and can be used in any plant. ACVs offer a compact size and operational area, along with the ability for low-profile transport, ensuring safe operations.
Additionally, ACVs enable the transportation of heavy loads on standard floors while minimizing damage that could occur during transport on expensive epoxy-coated floors. With various maneuvering modes, such as movement in its own track, controlled acceleration and deceleration, and the ability to turn within its track, ACVs provide high maneuverability and flexibility.
