Load Rigging Systems
WHAT MAKES THEM GREAT:
Ideally Suited for
Rigging & Machinery Moving Activities.
Rigging Systems, one of ASE System’s most versatile products utilize the efficiency of Fluid Film Technology to lift and move loads of any size, shape or weight, without resistance, utilizing our 4 or 6 module configurations. Rigging systems are truly omnidirectional, requiring no additional force to change direction. Moving delicate or sensitive machines is no problem because an air caster provides no perceptive shock or vibration when moving fragile systems
Rigging systems are lightweight and easily positioned under a load. Control consoles provide individual pressure regulation to compensate for unequal load distribution. Because Rigging Modules float on a nearly frictionless film of air; loads can often be moved manually, without the need for tow vehicles or winches.
Positioned under any load shape, they provide lift and support wherever it’s needed. With individual capacity ranging from 1/2 ton to 60 tons, rigging systems are available to move anything that isn’t anchored down. The rigging system modules thin profile allows ASE System’s products to be easily inserted under most equipment, eliminating the need for a separate jacking system, as well as providing vertical lift when inflated.

Set Up
Step 1
Prior to inflation, the load is solidly supported on landing pads. These pads protect the Air-Caster’s torus bag from being crushed when the load is at rest.
Step 2
When air is applied to the Air-Caster, the torus bag inflates, creating a seal against the floor surface and raising the load.
Step 3
When the pressure within the chamber is sufficient to offset the load’s weight, air evenly escapes between the flexible torus bag and the floor. The load is literally floated on a thin, nearly frictionless cushion of air, .003 to .005 inches (.08 to .13mm) thick.

Selection Guide
- Load must be positioned so individual bearing capacities are not exceeded.
- Recommended supply pressure: 25 psig above rated operating pressure at maximum load. Required floor surface: smooth trawled and sealed concrete or equivalent.
- Recommended for air supply hose lengths up to fifty (50) feet, consult sales engineer for longer lengths.
- Some modules may vary in height.
- It is recommended to have 30% more air volume available for moving over floor surfaces that do not meet required floor specifications.
- Some specifications may have changed.

Take the power
of air casters even further.
Power Drives
Steerable – Air-Motor and Battery Powered Drive Units for Moving, Controlling and Positioning Heavier Loads. (optional pendant controller available)
Air Jacks
For industrial lifting or jacking applications, inflatable air jacks are designed to lift heavy loads and can be inserted into spaces only one inch high.
Accessories
Guide Wheel Units, Hose Reel Systems, and Air Supply Hoses are optional accessories to further increase the ease and control air caster products provide.
Gap Crossing
Specially developed for the smooth movement of loads over cracked expansion joints, steps and gaps of all kinds in the floor surface.
